Delta Driving :: Kamakura⇒Misakkiguchi⇒Yokosuka
2008/12/29
My friends and I had a short trip to Kamakura(鎌倉), Misakiguchi(三崎口)and Yokosuka(横須賀)the other day. What motivated us was Maguro (Tuna) which is the specialty in Misakiguchi, and the marine style curry and rice in Yokosuka. These cities are all in the Miura Peninsula area in Kanagawa.

The frogs in front of the Kawasaki station where we made a start. They must celebrate our crazy trip!

The windsurfers in the near Kamakura area. The temperature in the sea this time of the season is almost 5℃.

Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gū (Kamakura)
What made us crazy was the famous event in history in the Kamakura Period (1192-1333). In short, Kugyo assassinated Minamoto-no-Sanetomo in front of the ginko tree in 1219. Please ask Prof. Wikipedia for details.
- Minamoto no Sanetomo :: 源実朝
- Kugyō :: 公暁
- Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gū :: 鶴岡八幡宮

The Misakiguchi
Everything is Maguro. Everlasting Maguro.

Yokosuka
For me, it was difficult to tell the difference between the “regular” curry and rice and the “marine style”…
Definition is always important. I have to make advances in my research..
